Academic Background

Since July 2021, Robin has been working on his doctorate at the chair of Prof. Engelen at HHU. Prior to this, he completed a M.Sc. in International Management and CEMS Master in Management at the Rotterdam School of Management and Bocconi University. Robin also holds a B.Sc. in International Business Administration from the Rotterdam School of Management and studied at SciencesPo in Paris.

Professional Background

Currently, Robin works as a research assistant at HHU and as part of this, he is working on cooperation projects of the University, in particular with a tech start-up in Berlin. Robin has also been working at an international management consulting firm since January 2019. Here, he supported companies and public administrations in digital transformations and in digital business building. Previously, Robin gained experience in social entrepreneurship at a business incubator in Amsterdam, the Netherlands. 

Research Focus

As part of his research, Robin investigates the relevance of data & analytics capabilities for new ventures with respect to strategy and innovation. For this, Robin works with secondary data.
