Academic Background
Max holds a B.Sc. in Business Administration from the University of Mannheim and a M.Sc. in Finance as well as a CEMS Master in International Management from ESADE Business School in Barcelona. He spent semesters and internships in Thailand, Chile, and Namibia. Currently Max is a doctoral candidate at the chair of Professor Engelen at the HHU Düsseldorf.
Professional Background
After finishing his master’s in Barcelona, Max started working for an international strategy consulting company in Cologne. Max is currently a research assistant at the HHU Düsseldorf, responsible for master and bachelor thesis supervision and social media.
Research Focus
In his research, Max examines innovation strategies in new ventures. He does so based on large-scale secondary data on biotech ventures and their patenting history.
