Academic Background
Michael holds a B.Sc. and an M.Sc. in Industrial Engineering and Management, specializing in Mechanical Engineering, from RWTH Aachen University and an M.Sc. in Management Science and Engineering from Tsinghua University in Beijing, China. As part of his studies, Michael also studied at the University of California at Santa Barbara. In September 2022, Michael started his PhD at the chair of Prof. Engelen at HHU.
Professional Background
During his studies, Michael completed various industry and consulting internships. Since 2020, he has been working as a digital strategy consultant for an international consultancy in Düsseldorf. Currently, Michael works as a research assistant at the Chair of Business Administration esp. Management of Prof. Engelen at HHU Düsseldorf and at the Chair of Technology Management at TU Dortmund University.
Research Focus
As part of his research, Michael focuses on the (political) mindsets of executives and their influence on key performance indicators (KPIs) of companies. Michael plans to work with extensive secondary data.
