Academic Background

Philip holds a B.Sc. in Management & Economics from University of Ulm and a M.Sc. in Management & Technology from Technical University of Munich. During his studies he spent one semester at Copenhagen Business school with a focus on venture capital and international capital markets. He is currently a doctoral candidate at the chair of Prof. Engelen at the HHU Düsseldorf.

Professional Background

During his studies, Philip completed various internships in diverse industries with a focus on strategy, finance and data science. Since 2021 he has been working for an international strategy consulting firm in Dusseldorf. Here, Philip mainly served clients in the insurance industry and worked on projects along the entire value chain.

Research Focus

As part of his research, Philip investigates how economic crises affect the innovation behavior of new ventures. He plans to work with secondary data.
