Academic Background
Philipp completed his B.Sc. in Business Administration at the University of Cologne and his M.A. in Finance at the University of St. Gallen. During his studies, he spend time at Trinity College Dublin in Ireland and the Tuck School of Business at Dartmouth in the USA. In August 2024 Philipp started his PhD at the chair of Prof. Engelen at HHU Düsseldorf.
Professional Background
During his studies, Philipp completed various internships in investment banking, private equity and strategy consulting. Since 2022 he has been working for an international strategy consulting firm in Cologne. Here, Philipp mainly served industrial and private equity clients on projects along the topics of strategy and corporate finance.
Research Focus
As part of his research, Philipp investigates how investors' characteristics influence the type and and success of their investments. He plans to work with secondary data.
