Academic Background

Anna holds a B.Sc. in Business Administration from the Duale Hochschule Ravensburg and an M.Sc. (Hons) in Finance and Information Management from the TU Munich and the University of Augsburg. During her degree she also studied at Edinburgh Napier University in the UK and conducted research at NHH Bergen in Norway. She started her doctorate at the TU Dortmund with Prof. Engelen and completes it at the HHU Düsseldorf.

Professional Background

During her dual studies at a German energy utility, Anna gained experience in various business areas of her partner company, e.g. innovation management, HR, trading, political communication. After completing her first degree, Anna was responsible for the risk management of an offshore wind farm at an energy utility for two years. Since 2016, she has been working for an international management consultancy in Hamburg. She also consults voluntarily on startsocial social projects. As a research assistant at the HHU Düsseldorf she is responsible for teaching (especially Opportunity Recognition) and student support.

Research Focus

As part of her research, Anna examines factors influencing the management of corporate crises in listed companies, e.g. CEO personality or crisis communication. She works with extensive secondary data and uses classical methods such as regression analysis as well as methods in the field of machine learning.
