Academic Background
Catharina obtained her B.Sc. in International Business Administration and her M.Sc. in Management from WHU – Otto Beisheim School of Management. During her studies, she completed semesters abroad at the University of Western Australia in Perth and at Luiss Guido Carli University in Rome. Since May 2024, Catharina has been pursuing her PhD under the supervision of Prof. Dr. Engelen at HHU Düsseldorf.
Professional Background
During her studies, Catharina completed internships in the areas of digitalization, ESG strategy, and business development in corporations, startups, and consultancies. Since 2021, she has been working for an international management consultancy in Munich. She primarily works with clients from the energy and industrial goods sectors across the entire value chain.
Research Focus
Catharina is researching performance criteria in the context of startups and financing. She plans to work with extensive secondary data.
