Academic Background

Max holds a B.Sc. in Economics from the University of Mannheim and an M.Sc. in Economic and Social History from the University of Oxford. As part of his studies, he also studied at the Università Commerciale Luigi Bocconi in Milan. Max is currently working on his PhD at the HHU Düsseldorf.

Professional Background

During his studies, Max completed internships in Public Management Consulting, Research, M&A Advisory and Public Policy Advisory in Nuremberg, Düsseldorf and Brussels. After graduating, Max spent two years at an international strategy consultancy working on projects in the consumer goods industry, cloud services and public sector digitization. As part of his PhD, Max supports a Berlin PV start-up in the area of operations excellence.

Research Focus

In his research activities, Max examines the factors influencing the strategic orientation of companies with regard to digitalization, such as the corporate-specific culture.
