Academic Background

Melanie holds a B.Sc. in International Business Management from the Berlin School of Economics and Law and an M.Sc. in Management & Technology with a focus on Marketing & Computer Science from the TU Munich. She spent time abroad at the City University of New York in the US, University of Technology Shanghai in China and the University of Edmonton in Canada. In January 2021, Melanie started her doctorate at the Chair of Prof. Engelen at the HHU.

Professional Background

During her studies, Melanie completed various internships in the automotive-, airline- and pharma industry with a focus on marketing and IT projects. Since 2019 she has been working for an international management consultancy in Düsseldorf. Anna is currently enrolled as external doctoral student at the Chair of Prof. Engelen.

Research Focus

In her research activities, Melanie investigates the impact of media coverage on the development of new ventures. She plans to work with large-scale secondary data.
